5K a year Description The BLET School Director is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the college's Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy in cooperation with partnering agencies, working closely with certified instructors, staff, and local law enforcement to ensure cadets have a quality educational experience and completes each sponsored accredited criminal justice training course.
Examples of Duties Review each instructor's lesson plans and other instructional materials for conformance to Commission standards and to minimize repetition and duplication of subject matter.
Administer the course delivery in accordance with Commission procedures and standards, give consider advisory guidelines issued by the Commission, and ensure that the training offered is safe and effective.
Select and schedule instructors who are certified by the Commission.
Provide each instructor with a current commission-approved course outline and all necessary additional concerning the instructor's duties and responsibilities.
Arrange for the timely availability of appropriate audiovisual aids and materials, publications, facilities, and equipment for training in all topic areas.
Formalize and schedule the course curriculum in accordance with the curriculum standards.
Maintain direct supervision, direction, and control over the performance of all persons to whom any portion of the planning, development, presentation, or administration of a course has been delegated.
Report the completion of each presentation of a Commission-accredited criminal justice training course to the Commission.
Maintains records of attendance/grades in the college's learning management system.
Maintains strict compliance with NC Law Enforcement Training and Standards Commission record keeping and other state, federal, and college standards.
Assists in the planning, budgeting, and use of departmental funds.
Establishes and/or maintains robust partnerships with customer law enforcement agencies.
Identifies needs and develops plans and projections for future academy growth or organizational improvements.
Demonstrate professionalism, fairness, and honesty in all aspects of the performance of duties.
Provide leadership based on ethics and principles as they relate to the functions and operations of the Police Academy.
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, and Values.
Minimum/Required Qualifications Required:
High school graduate and five years of practical experience as a criminal justice officer or an administrator or specialist in a field related to the criminal justice system.
Five years of full-time or equivalent experience in law enforcement in North Carolina.
Valid NC Driver's License Currently be Basic Law Enforcement and GI School Director certified by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Standards Commission or be eligible to attain these credentials.
Preferred:
Attend or must have attended the most current offering of the school director's orientation as developed and presented by the Commission staff, otherwise an individual orientation with a staff member may be required.
Candidate would have a working knowledge of coordinating and managing a law enforcement training program.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
